Re-download the FTF file to ensure the original download wasn't corrupted.
A standard lock-remove FTF (targeting only userdata security files) might keep media, but it is risky. Always assume data loss.
FTF (Flash Tool Format) is the official extension for Sony Xperia firmware packages. It contains the system images, bootloader, baseband, and user data configurations required to rewrite the phone's memory.
A firmware selection window will appear. Select the firmware from the list. Look at the right-hand panel labeled Wipe .
