On your phone screen, you should see a blinking purple, pink, or white light coming from the bulb at the top of the remote. If you see that light, your remote is transmitting IR signals perfectly. Your TV is the problem (check IR sensor on the TV). If you see no light , the remote is faulty—proceed to the fixes below.

The DAX NE-190E uses infrared light to communicate with your TV. Because human eyes cannot see infrared light, you can use your smartphone camera to check if the remote is actually transmitting a signal.

Press every button on the remote multiple times. This helps dislodge dust or debris that might be physically jamming a contact pad.
