The DayZ Origins mod stands as a legendary chapter in the DayZ community's history. Originally a derivative mod built on the Arma 2 DayZ Mod framework, Origins introduced players to the Taviana map—a unique landmass featuring islands, new vehicles, helicopters, weapons, and most notably, a revolutionary building system that allowed players to construct houses and garages that only the owner could access or destroy. The mod also introduced AI soldiers that aggressively hunted players, PvE mission elements, and a "leveling" system based on Humanity that affected which structures players could build.
